"Decorations"

A telephone call
Do I want my medals engraved?
49 years late

They were not so keen
To hand out decorations
When the sh*t hit the fan

Just in time to go
On the lid of my coffin
My grateful country

At least HM the Queen
Sends me my pocket money
Regularly…

Bless Her

    I'm cast from the Service,
And all I deserve is a shillin' a day.

    Shillin' a day.
    Bloomin' good pay--
Lucky to touch it, a shillin' a day!"
